NIQ Design System Ownership and Governance
I owned and governed two platform-level design systems at NIQ, managing each as a distinct, complex ecosystem. Navigating separate technical constraints, legacy debt, and BI integrations, I architected highly interconnected product modules. These systems bridged deep-level data pipelines and reasoning logic with complex UI, driving nested dashboards that scaled up to 15 views per module.
Ratehub Design System Ownership and Governance
I owned and governed the foundational design system architecture across Ratehub’s four fintech brands (Ratehub, CanWise, MoneySense, and Ratehub Insurance). Encompassing four core product verticals—Everyday Banking, Insurance, Mortgages, and Investments—my work bridged complex financial workflows with scalable, AI-augmented engineering to serve millions of Canadians.

NIQ · Design System Governance at enterprise scale· Steering NIQ Through a Double Rebrand
A six-year tech debt audit disguised as a rebrand. Two design systems reconciled in code — Precima vs. NIQ Global — every token fought, WCAG fixed across the suite, on live products with Walmart, Rite Aid, Jumbo, and CVS running throughout. When the brand reversed mid-flight, the rebuilt foundation absorbed it at ~15% net-new effort. The architecture survived a reversal it was never designed for.
Ratehub Design System Governance and Risk Mitigation
I rebuilt a complete design system from tokens to components levels, governed the design system, and authored 4 critical governance documents at Ratehub. My strategy directly prevented a 3-to-6-month engineering refactoring.

Ratehub — Production codebase as the source of truth — not Figma. 143 design tokens, 59 colour styles, 18 text styles extracted from live code and registered in one session. Months of manual reconciliation compressed to an afternoon.
25-Risk Design System Foundations Audit · Ratehub
Systemic debt identified before refactoring was required — stress-tested with Claude AI. Auditing a system serving live products means every finding has a blast radius; the audit ranked risks by exactly that.
